About the song....

"Back to December" is a song by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. Swift wrote the song and produced it alongsideNathan Chapman. It debuted on country radio on November 15, 2010 as the second single from Swift's third studio album, Speak Now. According to Swift, "Back to December" is the first time she ever apologizes to someone in a song.  "Back to December" is considered an orchestral country pop ballad and its lyrics are a remorseful plea for forgiveness for breaking up with a former lover.

 Obviously, the critics say, the song is about her ex, Taylor Lautner and she is basically apologizing to him although both Swift and Lautner has neither confirmed nor denied these allegations. The following is some rough picture of the exact meaning of the song and how it is closely related to Taylor's life.

• "You gave me roses, and i left them to die" most likely to mean that Lautner really loved her with his full passionate compassion but then Taylor in return didn't really like him very much. The chorus is about her regrets of her decision that she made when she was with Lautner. She realized how unfair she was with him and she now sees the lost she's being accounted to.
